I'm grateful to Tahera ma'am my yoga guru to make me understand body alignment through yoga which benefited me. I was suffering from spondylitis n lower back pain with regular aches from past 3 months I'm performing yoga under her guidance n I'm relieved from all the above ailments. One more thing I used to do yoga from many years by following apps or videos but I created more problems and my pain was worse yoga is excellent if done under proper guidance. Namaste! I am Ujjwala Deshmukh. I have joined Beginner's batch at Yoganjali few months ago. Tahira madam is my teacher. She conducts a very good combination of yoga poses which are helpful to our all body parts.She pays attention to each & every student in a batch & instructs them to do the yoga poses correctly. She also remembers physical limitation of each member of a batch and give them alternative yoga poses which are suitable to them. She is energetic & a very good yoga teacher. After I started doing yoga in a class, I found myself more energetic physically & mentally. Also my mind has become more stable & there is increase in positive attitude. My body became more flexible so I can complete my daily chores & office work more easily without any back pain or stiff shoulder or neck. I love this yoga class.

It’s been 3-4 months now that I have been doing yoga with Yoganjali- Ms Tahera. I had a lower back disc prolapse last year and was struggling with pain and now it’s all almost gone. Tahera is very professional, motivating and fun too. She accurately predicts the mistakes that one can make and need to be careful about. This is my first ever yoga experience and I’m happy that I’m enjoying it.

Ive been a student of the regular batch as well as the prenatal yoga medical batch. I would like to share my experience with the prenatal batch. My teachers, Gulnaaz and Javad were very professional and personally made sure I'm ok with every asana. I could do assisted sirsasana until week 38 of my pregnancy. I was very very satisfied with my flexibility. Though it was a planned c-section due to the position of the baby, I had no physical issues even post Partum. No tiredness or excess fatigue could be felt physically.

I am Meghna Mittal, joined yoga in December 2020 under the guidance of my Yoga Instructor Tahera in the morning beginners Batch 6-7.​ She has an expert knowledge of body movement, various tips & techniques to improve flexibility & her attention to detail make for a great instructor! She uses that perception to help students to correct & improve techniques while also catering individual plans to achieve individual goals throughout each session. At the time of joining I had a Knee problem and was not able to sit in squat leg position, my knees were so jammed but gradually after joining the Yoga class and practicing asanas under Tahera's instructions made my knees feel much better. Yoga classes at yoganjali truly restore the mind and body connection. I thoroughly enjoy every class and think it is very well structured in terms of variety of “Aasanas” and their sequences. Namastey, It is indeed a blessing to be a part of this beautiful institution, Yoganjali, where all the teachers are so profound! They teach traditional yog here (Iyengar Yog). They guide every students so to the point. The teacher student relationship is like mother and child where utmost care is taken for every student and respective problems if they have so. I have completed 3 years of my practice and I continue to do so now with their online classes. Practising yog has brought in me immense strength, stamina, stability in my body and mind. It just keeps me happy and at peace. I have learnt to let go off many things/ obstacles in life so strongly only due to my practice under these teachers. Yog has got a transformation change in me. I joined Yoganjali in early pregnancy for help with overall health. My husband joined the General batch as a beginner. Yogasanas under guidance from teachers here helped me with tiredness, sleep issues, back pain, leg pain, etc. I could carry out my routine until the day of delivery. We continue to learn at Yoganjali since and it has been 6+ years. I have learnt from Gulnaaz, Murtaza, Tahera and Javad. My first class with Gulnaaz was in 2014 when I took a class with her at The Ramamani Iyengar Memorial Yoga Institute (RIMYI) in Pune. Since then, I have never stopped taking classes with her. Gulnaaz became my mentor. I usually see her three times a year. Before the pandemic, I used to go to India 2 times a year and Gulnaaz would come to Qatar once a year for a workshop. She has learned directly from Guruji, Geetaji, and Prashantji so she teaches in the manner of the Iyengars as well as bringing her specific way of teaching. She is very knowledgeable and yet doesn’t throw her knowledge all at once during her classes. She tells what we need to know according to our capabilities. She keeps her instructions simple and clear, with no fuss, and she is firm and straight forward. Her classes are dynamic and challenging, and she has a sharp eye for seeing all the students in her classes, even in Zoom classes. My practice and my teachings have changed over time after having Gulnaaz as my mentor. She sees the best in our practice and always makes sure we are living up to our best potential during classes. I appreciate her time and her energy spending guiding me.

I joined the online class at the age of 80 with a chronic kidney disease. I was highly sceptical of how I would fare at this age. However, to my surprise not only could I do all the asanas (thanks to the care that the Yoganjali team takes), I find myself energetic throughout the day. I have been doing yoga since last three years and love my weekly yoga sessions.​ I am a software engineer and due to sitting for long hours, I used to have a back pain. But due to regular yoga I never had a backpain again.​ When I joined class 3 years back, I was recovering from dengue and was having joint pain but due to regular sessions I recovered fast from the post dengue weakness.​ The weekly sessions are like meditation for me. I forget all the other stress and it helps to calm my mind and relax my body from all the outside disturbances.​ Initially I had a lot of fear to try inverted asanas but now I am able to do it with the help of Yoganjali teachers.​ And from the last 1 and half year due to covid-19 situation everyone is trying to fit in the new normal and these online sessions are really helping me to cope up with stressful situations.​ I've never felt stronger, more in-tuned with my mind and body.​ As Murtuza sir always say that fexibility will always come through patience and practice. Yoga has brought me physical health, but more importantly peace and an over all feeling of well being!​ I feel fortunate to practice at such a welcoming yoga institute and will be forever grateful for the knowledge I have gained! Yoganjali teachers are the most professional yet compassionate and caring...every single one of them shares their extensive knowledge freely and teaches from the heart. Though the classes are online yet their attention to detail and focus on every single student is unwavering. There is no herd/mass teaching rather asanas are modified/ taught individual specific with variations. @Yoganjali, Yoga is a way of life, not just a class with students for an hour. Their concern for our wellbeing goes beyond the mat. I was diagnosed with a skin autoimmune disorder which almost brought a halt to my 8 year practice. However thanks to a specific sequence designed by my teacher here to cope with this I am on my mat every single day and my condition is vastly improved. Teachers are accessible always and respond to every query/ issue right away. Truly Blessed to be studying/ practicing at Yoganjali.

I had a history of continuous health issues since 2017. I was diagnosed with stage 4 Lymphoma in August 2017, for which I was under treatment for over 2.5 years and I kept on falling ill with smaller issues like sinusitis, conjunctivitis to even dengue in 2019, all of which happened in parallel with my cancer treatment. Along with this I also have an L5-S1 disc desiccation which wasn't attended to owing to all my illness. I joined Yoganjali in August 2020 with a bit of a skeptical mind, as I was unsure how virtual classes in a pandemic would turn out. But my only goal was to improve my health. I am so glad that all my doubts were proved wrong from day 1. From ensuring you have the correct camera settings for the teacher to be able to see you clearly to suggesting the right props, ensuring the modifications are suited to your conditions; Team Yoganjali has you covered and makes sure you practice Yoga the right way. From mostly spending time on hospital beds to now being able to do shirsasana under guidance, I am indeed humbled by my learning journey so far and it definitely wouldn't have been possible without the right teachers. It has been 10 months since I joined Yoganjali and have been attending the beginner batch thrice a week with Gulnaaz Ma’am. Though I live in Pune, I still haven't been able to meet the team in person, but I look forward to a hopeful and brighter tomorrow and attend the sessions in person soon!
